Since 2006, visual artists Richtje Reinsma, Roosmarijn Schoonewelle and Heleen Wiemer have been working together on a irregular basis under the name of Het Harde Potlood ('The Hard Pencil').

The work of Het Harde Potlood is based in drawing but also experimental and multi-disciplinary. Their work consists of drawing installations, drawing actions, murals and performances.

Alongside their independent projects, Het Harde Potlood also produces illustrations, gives workshops, creates drawing reportages and designs décor pieces.

 

Richtje Reinsma (Amsterdam, 1979) studied at the Rietveld Academy and the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. In 2009 she received a grant from The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture. She works in several media.

Roosmarijn Schoonewelle (Hoorn, 1980) studied at the Rietveld Academy. She received funding from The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture in 2006.

Heleen Wiemer (Ten Boer, 1978) studied at the Rietveld Academy. Her work is based in drawing, performance and theatre.
